My Bio
Although I've always had creative tendencies, the urge to create has become extraordinarily strong in the past few years. I want to provide to the world something to enjoy long after I'm gone. I want to entertain via a broad range of different art, whether it's seen, heard or felt.
Taking pictures and making them perfect in my own eyes is my first love.
I've taking a liking to creating non-photographic art as well, and am doing my best to learn to draw, both cartoon style and realism.
I also am a musician. I play stringed instruments, sequence digital arrangements, work my vocal cords every now and then, and work to conquer any other musical instruments I can obtain for a fair price.
I put as much passion into my creations as I know how, and I keep learning every day to do so more effectively.

Since my last journal entry, I've done a photo shoot with some friends and their pets, shot a funeral and made a tasteful video for those who weren't able to make it, and little else. Would certainly love to do some more portrait photography, but all the suitable candidates either moved a thousand miles away or are sick of my lens already.
I did however also attempt to shoot a meteor shower, but I misinterpreted the date and was 24h too late. I was able to get a nice time-lapse video of the night sky, It turned out great, although it is very short:

A Creative Weekend

So I woke up Saturday to see the clouds sweeping and dancing above the hills as they often do whenever it's a little cloudy, but not cloudy enough to make the journey above the open valley. So I broke out the equipment to do some time-lapse shoots. I captured five sequences, the final one being a sun setting behind turbulent skies. In the process of thinking which music to go with it, I thought; why not write my own? So I did. It all turned out great. Here it is:

That was a lot of pictures

So I just finished processing 1300 wedding pictures. Each picture was evaluated for content, brightness/contrast/saturation improved, angle corrected, cropped (either standard or wide) and effects applied to some to create an artistic element or to salvage otherwise unusable shots. I narrowed it down to about 800 usable photos to give to the people who hired me. The process took about 24 solid hours of work, and I'm glad I'm finally through it. Just one final step left, in batch processing all the RAW files into JPEG, combining the images from both cameras into a single time-labeled index, and creating a set of preview-quality images as w
